Starting a movement

After all the first one doesn’t really matter as much – it’s the second that counts.

although it takes the first (lunatic, as the video describes it) to start something new, it’s only after the second joins in that it has any chance of growing. A thing to keep in mind is that the starter has to be willing to treat the newcomer has an equal, to share “the stage” with him.

After that second one, things start to change: slowly people join in, and the tipping point is eventually reached. The moment when the people who were previously afraid of joining and being singled out find comfort in the size of the crowd, and decide to join in instead of being left out.

And we have a movement.
